Hello everyone. Does anyone know if there is anywhere I can buy latex moulds from other than ebay in the UK? I think I have exhausted the stocks of most of the sellers and am finding it hard to source anything different. I am planning to start mixing again in the next few weeks (it's been too cold and damp for me to brave the workshop), and I was hoping to be able to get hold of some different pieces... But alas, it's the same old stuff everywhere I look I found a lovely large witch with a couldron just before Christmas, but she ended up selling at auction for nearly £400... Yikes! And I'm desperate to be able to get some moulds with seams - they aren't made like that in this country, at least I haven't found any. It's such a sensible way to take the hassle out of de-moulding and yet we don't seem to have adopted that method here. If any of you make/sell your own moulds, I'd love to buy from you. Thank you 😊

Branch out for simple molds, i bought from all over the world, when starting. Australia was a good place to look for different molds, ebay Australia. Just the rubber of course. Get outside the box, look around. I got a woman from Greece wanting a mold and i live in Alabama.😁😉😂😂

As stuk says you'd be far better off in the long run making your own. That way you can pick and choose what you want rather than been stuk with the same old stuff that everyone else is offering. Rather than searching the net for moulds spend your time reading as much as you can on here then jump in making small to medium size moulds. You'll know when your ready to try something a bit more challenging and the good thing about it is that there's a good bunch on here to help you out if your not sure of something, good luck.

Thank you 😊 I bought molds from the UK too, but the shipping is such a killer that I decided to buy latex and make my own. You should try it. It's not that hard. I have a couple of dozen now that I am working on. You may make some mistakes but it's a learning curve. You'll have much more variety in choosing what you want and like...that's what I've found. Here are a few I am currently working on ready to make mother molds for them, then cast. I am also testing out making my first seams, worrying about the concrete leaking but I love a challenge. Hope this inspires and helps.

I have tried to make my own latex moulds in the past, but I failed miserably. I couldn't seem to find the time to build up the layers in between doing the school runs, cooking dinners and getting the kids ready for bed etc and all of my efforts were epic fails, so I gave up (it was just a whole lot easier to buy them). But I really wish that mould makers in the UK would adopt the 'seam' method instead of what you call a 'glove mould' in the States... Would make the de-moulding process a whole lot easier.

There is a few people that do seams in the uk some moulds do not need a seam. Most sellers in the uk will make moulds that dont need one as its easier and quicker to get moulds out the door. Also selling a mould with a seam without backing is abit of a problem. If you are looking for a good mould maker that does have moulds with seams and does a outstanding job making moulds and backings let me know and i will share.

These come from across!! A person from Chattanooga Tennessee contacted me and we are fixing to make backings for these. These stand true and appear to be thin enough to pull without a seam. ?
