I am looking for an affordable source for a gunnera mold. I have seen some online but they are quite pricey. I am open to making my own but have gone down the rabbit hole of information and my mind is spinning. I purchased a gunnera bulb but I don't think that will be of any use for at least a year. Does anyone have a mold for sale? Or lead me in the direction of where to start making my own molds? I have watched every video I can find on the subject but don't know what product to use. My first leaf casting of an elephant ear came out beautifully. I would like to make a mold of that too but again am not sure what product to start with. I'm enjoying this forum and can't wait to really get started with this. Thank you!!!

Haha!  I'm only joking there btw! I'll be up for making a mold. Let me know what kind of size you would be looking for. I only have a few concrete leaves which would pass for molding and if you like them, then perhaps go from there.  |

I reckon I could do it for £30/$40 plus p&p. Would you want a mother mold aswell, or make your own from sand, etc? Bear in mind it the latex mold would take around a month for it to be ready, vulcanised, etc. |

That is fair. Thank you! I planned on making my own mother mold. That is fine about the wait time. I'll experiment with some other leaves in the meantime. You do beautiful work! I've watched a lot of your videos on YouTube.

Will be interesting to see what you do with the casts. I think you get to know your own leaves. On around the 10th coat of latex at the moment. |

Have around 4 coats left to put on and then I'll let it sit for a bit. I've been doing a video as I have been going along too. |

Sorry I have been MIA - I just haven't been logging in as much from work. I'm supposed to actually be working The mold is now complete and will let it sit for up to the appropriate time scale. Last coat was applied yesterday. When I take the mold away from the leaf cast, I'll leave a wide flange on it and you can trim the mold to your preference.   |
